I'm sure many of you rolled your eyes and thought "again" when you read the thread title. I have been searching and haven't really found what I am looking for. I just picked up an 85 firebird spoiler and what I am looking for is how it looks mounted with shaved tips and with pedestals. I'm leaning towards shaving the tips but I really don't know what the look difference are and if creating pedestals is a simple task or not.

If I was to do it, I would create taller pedestals using some HDPE. Cut to approximate size with a saw, then use a sanding disc or file to get exact shape. After you get shaped, extend studs to appropriate length and mark trunk, drill holes and voila you have a new wing. Paint to match. You can get it on ebay for cheap. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=abs+plastic+sheet+1/4&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.X2"+thick+plastic.TRS0&_nkw=2"+thick+plastic&_sacat=0. Good luck.
