Firewall Paint?

Are all G-bodies firewalls painted black? I'm starting with a black car but would like to change the color of the firewall as well.

i dont think so, i had a blue 442 and the fire wall was blue like the car

My car is brown, and re-painted the engine compartment black..However,was black from the factory..But you can paint it any color you want, it's your car 8)

thanks for your permission :lol: just seems like every pic of an el camino engine bay is black. my car is black, so it is both body color as well as black.

my firewall is black, as is everything else becides the engine. the moron who owned it before me painted the entire engine bay black, includung the wires and the coolant thingy.
