i bought an 85 cutlass t-top last summer. when i bought it, it was all primer painted. it has a 1976 chevy 350 in it previously installed by old owner. it had door rust and hood rust that was covered up by the primer. i bought some used doors and rust with no rust for when i paint it. also i just realized it was a vinyl top but was removed. the main question i have it that it is missing the rear window trim and since it use to be a vinyl top can a regular rear window trim work?? also im having a hard time finding the driver side window switch that i need with driver and passenger window switch together. im hoping all goes well with the new doors and hood i bought for it. thanks any help will work i will also search forum for any helpful hints.

i plan on getting it painted with in the next 2 months

You can aquire the trim you need from various sources...check the vendor section. You will need to get some aftermarket screw in studs and trim clips to attach the trim once you have it. I'm not sure exactly where to get those items, but I'm sure someone will chime in soon with that info.
Switches can be had pretty easily from a wrecker or I'm sure some guys on the site have a few kicking around, myself included.....
Good luck with the build 8)

Edit...and welcome to the site
