i wouldnt use it as a permanent thing, only to drive it to the muffler shop to get the real one welded in, or to hook up to the end of yer exhaust to keep fumes out of the garage. but thats just me.

Plan on replacing it about every 6 months, if your car is a daily driver. It works great for a temporary fix, but will start unraveling, or rust through fairly quickly. I used it a few times a while ago on a Geo Prizm that I was too poor to fix the right way, and both happened. The first time, it ended up splitting and unraveling from the center of the pipe. The second time I used it was during the winter, and it ended up rotting out by spring. I believe I bought it in like 2' sections at AutoZone. Not sure if it's the exact same stuff you're looking at, but it looks the same.

I had tubing like that but found that the 550hp. my Bu. turned at completely threw all the strapping ascrew like it had been chewed by a giant monkey. What a waste of money. 🙁
Never again will I use such cheap stuff on my dreammachine.

I agree. I used that stuff back in college when I decided I wanted to try my exhaust running under the bumper instead of behind the tires. I just used a short 12" section of it on each side and can tell you it doesn't last long at all. Mine rusted through pretty quickly.

In my opinion, its really only made for a quick repair of something. Even then its only marginal at best.

I used a 18" piece to mount from my muffler to another piece of straight pipe that was the tailpipe on my regal. Held up fine and best of all i was able to use the midpipe from another regal i had, a new muffler i bought, the flex pipe, and some clamps and put it all together in about an hour in my driveway. Held up fine for the short time i used it.

Why would you go through all the trouble of adding low-restriction exhaust only to use high-restriction tubing like this? Get proper mandrel-bent pipes.

i just got 8 ft. of regular tubing today for $10 so ima just go with regular pipe instead of flexy. Since u guys said it doesnt last long. Thanks for the insight
