a while back I posted about how I lost power in my car. I had checked the battery and replaced it, the alternator was rebuilt, the fuses were checked, I checked every wire with a voltmeter, replaced plugs, wires, cap and rotor, even the distributor itself, starter checked out fine at advanced, where to go but its coming back. Other day going to college my radio went off on about 5 times as I was leaving. Then it stopped as well as the above it also made the fasten seat belt warning light and the buzz sound of the car being off when it did it. Also today on the highway it did it too right after the car shifted gears and was at low RPMs. I really dont understand what the problem might be. I really dont wanna lose power. THe last time 2 months ago it was because of a lot of corrosion had built up on starter wire. I cleaned it up completely clean. 🙁

your alternator could still be bad. I bought a brand new one for my car and had to swap it for another because it was bad from the factory. Just luck to get a good one i think

Is your wiring bulkhead from the engine compartment to the firewall loose or damaged?
I too have had new alternators go bad. I replaced the one in my Caprice a few years ago, and two days later the new one took a dump. Good thing that car had a working voltmeter so I caught it before it drained the battery and died. I went right back and took the alternator out in their parking lot and exchanged it and was on my way.

everything

there seems to be fine too. I dont get this issue im having, im gonna be really pissed when I break down though sooner or later.

check all the body engine and frame grounds. one way be moving in just the right way to disturbe the connection. and make sure that the wires into the fuse panel and the fuses are solid in their mounts.

X2 definately check all your grounds. Under the hood and under the dash.

I had a fuse for my radio in my truck that was loose, thing would go off and on all the time, it sucked. Somebody had doubled up in the radio fuse with a lead to run a C.B. in the truck, and when they took it out, the contacts for the fuse were spread apart and messed things up.
