i have a 383 stroker that im dropping into my 83 cutlass. im looking at a 10 3/4" Pro Street Strip 3000 stall racing convertor for my built th350. i have a flywheel off of my old 350, but im pretty sure its a stock gm one. im not really sure about my route to go with a flywheel. can i just use the one from my old motor with that new converter? or will it really make a difference to get a lightweight one specific to the transmission/motor? and how do i go about finding the specifics i would need?

The first thing you need to know is how your 383 was made. Meaning is it using an internally balanced crank(aftermarket stroker crank) or an externally balanced crank(like a stock 400 was, that is commonally used to stroke the 350).
