I have 168 tooth flywheel on my 383. I just bought a performer starter which says it's for both 153 and 168 tooth flywheels. However, it is not matching up. Did I put on the wrong size flywheel for a small block??

Ok, it was a false alarm. We flipped the mounting plate upside down, and it mounted up just fine. Still have yet to start it all up though to make sure it works fine. Looks like it should.
