Hi everyone! I am new to this site and I could use everyone's help rebuilding my 1979 Chevrolet El Camino. I have had a few G body Cutlass' but I am really excited about the elco. I bought it from a guy on ebay and when I picked it up I was dissapointed. Every exterior panel was maliciously scratched or kicked in and the interior was done very badly with grey and purple vinyl. The car wouldn't even start up! I was so pissed! After getting it home I got it started in 20 minutes. The previous owner was a young kid who was more into rice burners and he doesn't have a clue on how to work on cars! Everything in this car has been jerry rigged and thrown together. Right now, I have stoped all the leaks and she runs pretty good. I plan on rebuilding a 350 4-bolt main and also do the interior and body work myself. The automatic transmission and rear end I will have someone else do. I was thinking about having 4-link suspension with air bags, but I don't want to cut the car, and some 18" polished Irocs. So any advice would be a blessing! This car deserves to be rebuilt after what the last idiot has done to it and hopefully everyone here can help me and I will try to return the favor. I live in Las Vegas, NV and if anybody has any shops that they recommend, I am all ears! This site is great and I am glad to be here. Thank yall.

welcome and good luck with the build and if you look under it, it has a factory 4 link 8)
