I'm running rear disc from an LT1 F-body, cheap, stop well and clear 15 inch wheels.

Any details on how you fit them? Did you use new housing ends with the GM pattern for the backing plates? And did you use the backing plates as the retainer or increase the size of the opening and use a separate retainer?

I'd like to get my hands on a set up like this but haven't seen anything in the yards. IIRC, unlike the LS1 style rear brakes, the disk option was only offered on TA's and SS Camaros. Definitely harder to come by.

Mine came with fullsize LTD drum brakes, they are considerably bigger than the stock brakes. They seem to provide lots of stopping power.

All V8 F bodies got the rear disc and yes I ordered my 9 inch from Strange with the GM housing ends and the bracket is the retainer for it, I would recommend flipping them and put the caliper toward the front so you don't have shock clearance issues.

I have the.LE rear brakes @ brackets, need info on install!!! Will.be ordering 9 inch from QP

I need info too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously though, did I not already tell you in another thread to call up QP and let them know what you are doing? At minimum, you will need the rear end setup with the GM pattern housing ends and Ford bearing. That will allow the backing plate bolt pattern for your 1LE brakes to bolt up. The rest is spacing, measurements, and mocking up everything to see how it all fits together. I'm not sure if there are any 1LE rear brakes to Ford 9 with GM housing end threads around, but it might be similar to the LS1 setup that people are doing. Here's a write-up for the LS1 brakes on a 10 bolt:

Obviously, there will be some differences, but at least you can get a better idea of the types of things you need to look at to make it all work.

I installed Wilwood Dynalite Pro Series with 2.36 offset for Ford big bearing on my Moser 9" and they come with 12.19" dia. vented rotors and forged aluminum 4 piston calipers.
I also installed a Wilwood adjustable proportioning valve in line for the rears disc.
My car stops very well with this set up. These also clear a 15" wheel and mine have 5" of backspace.
