was wondering if I could use my vent line as a return for a return style fpr I’m still running a carbed 350, not planning on efi swap, anytime soon at least, I’m okay with buying one later down the line if I have to for efi, my mechanical pump is throwing up to 10.5 psi just wanna see what type of fpr would be best for my setup

Late to the party.... if the vent line is 5/16" ID, it should be fine for carbureted systems, definately go 3/8", -6 if using AN fittings for return line EFI systems.

No OEM style mechanical fuel pump should be doing 10.5psi, but that typical when buying off the shelf from parts stores, even online, they may say 5psi, but its mostly hogwash. So when you get that return fuel line going, get a name brand return style regulator to set the fuel pressure, depending on the carburetor, edelbrock safetly handles up to 5psi, holley up to 7psi, but i prefer 6psi the most.
