I need to set up my tie rod lengths. Anybody have any info on what the stock setting were? I just need it close so I can drive it to the shop for alignment. Right now, they seem a bit wider than they should be....making the wheels splay out too much.
Thanks!
Bill

i usually just count threads and then drive it down to the alignment shop. its not really too much to worry about as long as everything is tight just drive it down and get them to sort it out. i guess if it looks that far outtawack i would measure the distance between the two sides between the front of the tires and then do the same measurement to the back side of the tire across and try to get that pretty close so that the tires are pretty close to paralell, that should get you to the alignment shop no problem i would imagine.

if you have your old tie rods lying around i would count the number threads that looked like they were exposed before and then match that to your current setup and that would be plenty to get it down for an alignment

with a measuring tape
try to get close to zero difference between front & rear of the tires ....

this way youll get there !

toe in is close to zero !
camber also
but caster is to be positive ( not important to get there )
