I have a 78 wagon. I was looking through everything on here and I still dont quite under stand everything.

Is a Moog 5662 front coil spring going to work. Or is it going to be to small?

load height is 10.750
free height is 13.149

Is that going to lower the car around 1 inch?
or should I go with a 5606 or the 5660.

And what is a rear spring that I should get to be about the same as the front?

I dont want the car slammed on the ground just about 2 inches all around or 1 in the front and 2 in the rear.

Thanks Dane

Sorry for the long delay. Finishing up my son's 1978 wagon. We ordered the MOOG springs and were not happy. Ordered the Hotchkiss lowering springs and they are fine.

the moog 5662 by my guess will keep it at stock height or raise the front end. It's not a good choice at all for lowering. It can be done, but it'll ride very stiff. 5660 is also not a good lowering spring.

MOOG 5658 should lower the front around 1.5". If it doesn't settle after a few months of driving, cut a half coil and see how it looks after settling again

I would order an actual lowering spring for the rear rather than trying to calculate if a moog spring will fit. They're pigtail springs so cutting is a headache because they'll need to be shaped after the cut.

I'll be trying these out in a few months. They're advertised at 1-2" drop

Or if you want to spend a lot more, order a whole lowering kit.
