Front mount intercooler questions

Ok, so I have no idea where to ask this question, and its an expensive gamble here. I'm putting an lb7 duramax into my elcamino, now I know that I shouldn't need an intercooler for just street driving since i'm not going to be towing anything more than a lawnmower trailer, but I know I should really have one yet. Now, does anyone know if a front mount intercooler for say a Regal or grand national will fit behind the grill of an elcamino or malibu? I also would hope if it does that the ac condenser fits yet too... I don't want to buy a 800 dollar part just to have to sell it for 500 because it doesn't fit. Thanks

I should add, I know the piping won't work, or at least most of it and i'll have to make that.

Lots of room for a 12"x31" intercooler that's either 3" or 4" thick. Search through a couple of the turbo builds and you'll find many photos.

A generic sized intercooler is all that is needed. Intercooler quality is usually dictated by price.
