i'm building a 1984 regal limited, i was pondering the idea of a front spoiler or splitter (i wanna make it a road race/autocross car) also about doing some fender modification to build a custom cold air intake for my SBC i'll be dropping in. any ideas or recommendations? hopefully someone has tried this before :?

How low are you planning? How much have you lowered it in the front? It is a long way down if it is stock. The GN spoiler/air dam is probably 3-4 inches tall and it is still a LONG way from the ground.

i am going to run 245/45/17's for tires but the overall goal for ride height when done will be about 3" lower than stock. i dont want the splitter to be too low, i still need to get around the nasty Michigan roads. prob 5" off the ground

i was thinking something along the lines of a nascar style spoiler

I don't think the Nascar splitter would look right on a Regal unless you can get it to follow the bottoms of the fenders. I think it would look out of place just underneath the bumper. A spoiler I would look for is off of an 84-85 GN . That is a one peice spoiler across the bottom of the bumper and carrys on the bottoms of the fenders. The 86-87 GN is a two peice spoiler with an opening for the intercooler scoop. I am planning on buying one here soon so I can hide the pipes under the rad support for my FMIC. I think that I seen the one peice spoiler at gbodyparts.com.

like the under car splitter that goes pretty much right under the fan shroud?

or the one that looks like it simply clips on the bottom of the bumper?
