I am doing an LS swap in my 80 Camino, what if anything needs to be done to the springs to compensate for the lighter weight of the LS? Cut them down? How much? Leave them alone? Replace them with?? Just wondering which way to go. I would like to end up close to the factory ride height when all is said and done.

It will sit higher.I had diesel springs when I swapped to ls. Combined with worn out rear springs, I had a poor man's cadillac stance. Swapped to what NPD called musclecar lowering springs back in 03', along with station wagon rear springs since I carry stuff often.

Thanks for the info, I will check into the NPD springs. Sweet looking car by the way, I hope mine looks half as good when(if) I ever get done with it!
