ma.
The time has come to drop a 455 pontiac into my GP.im keeping my heat and A/C.it sits up pretty nice right now,id like ti keep it like that.

I was thinking springs for a cutlass with a 403, if they came with a 403?

If you do a search, there's probably at least a couple dozen posts about this already.

Here is a link to a some spring charts for the front and rear:

It seems most people would like to lower the front end. However, if you buy a new set of say, the 5608 HD SS springs, you would probably be close to the higher ride height you want.

As to your question about the 403, I foggily remember some Cutlasses may have been equipped with one. However, also if I remember correctly, the 403 weighs the same as a SBO so the springs likely wouldn't be very different.

I did search.but instead of displaying threads this site displays every individual post.im not going through 1200 pages of posts to try and hope i find what im looking for.

A 403 block is likely lighter than a 307 due to the gigantic bore diameter. Depending on how much a Pontiac 455 weighs, you may want to consider using the diesel springs if the weight is comparable. Moog sells a bunch of different springs to fit G bodies. Some of them are S10 applications and may also get you what you want with a slightly stiffer spring rate.

Have you considered factory replacement big block a body springs?
I was under the impression that a body and g body springs were interchangeable.

Diesel powered Gbody springs ?

When I redid my suspension I went with moog 5660. Gave a nice stance. Dont know the weight difference between the 455 and 454. Also I dont have heat or a/c
