Swapped out my 1 1/4" front bar with a 92 Firebird WS6 equipped 36mm
bar and what a big difference in handling. Additionally the bar is hollow for a weight savings over the factory bar. The swap was not without modifications. The front brackets had to be slotted a bit in order for it to bolt up. The frame bracket on the drivers side had to be notched to clear the increase in bar size. If you get one of these , make sure you get the frame mounting brackets with it also.

I used bushings for the 36mm bar in the factory G-body brackets. The outside diameter of the bushings are the same.

Did you use/modify the F-body brackets as well?
