i can’t find any information on the web about what size micron fuel filter I need to support 800whp. I’ll be around 750 peak with a -8an feed line, -6an return.

I know that a fuel filter can’t be too recstictive in micron or too small I surface area so what are you guys running for a fuel injected 750-800whp car? Only a few more parts to gather and I’m ready for install. I’m running a walbro 450 pump

So, the cool thing about fluid flow is, the filter size should be tailored to the average amount of flow you need. IE; you can have a 2-3 micron filter that will still sustain your flow required until in starts to get clogged. My advice would be check the flow rates of the filters you want to use and see how tolerant they are. Most filters are measured on flow rate/mircon rating and will tell you exactly how they will operate in a real world. I know this don't exactly answer your question, but it may help you choose based upon your application

I would base it on how clean your fuel is going in. On my last engine I had 100 micron making 980 flywheel hp But that was run through a screen on the way in the cell. I had run a 10 micron filter on the car with the previous engine and that was 910 flywheel hp. I wanted to make sure the 10 wasn’t restrictive so I went to 100 to see if there was a change. I figured if wix racing oil filters are 60 micron, why am I filtering my gas better than the oil in my engine?
