She's an 88 Monte Carlo SS, stock gauge, new sending unit. The cluster panel is too modified to use the original wiring so i'm just going to wire it up myself.

To my understanding, all i have to do is supply a good ground, and run a wire straight from gauge to sending unit, correct?

That is correct. Just take the gauge and sending units grounds to a good connection and the the other wire from the gauge directly to the positive on the sending unit and you have signal. I think the sending unit wire from the tank is beige/off white. Should be near the fill pipe or tucked in the bumper area. You can tap it there or trace it along the frame rail. For best results, run the new wire as close to the sending unit as possible. Hth.

Yeah i plan to run new wire whole way.

The last thing on my list are the turn signals, they're giving me absolute hell, inconsistent problems and results, it's making it a b*tch to gain any head way.

Thanks for the input.
