ok so im going to be running the edelbrock 1407 carb on my car this go around. Ive grew up messing with carters so itl be nice to somewhat get back to my roots. Never been real good with holleys. anyways i notice edelbrock specifies do not exceed 6.5 psi. the fuel pump i am running is a holley 327-11 http://www.holley.com/12-327-11.asp. pressure is preset from 6.5-11psi. so my question is do i need to run a fuel pressure regulator. If so which is a decent one to run? i dont want to go overboard here. also i plan to run an autometer elec fuel pressure gauge in the cabin. so what is the best way to plumb that. i notice most regs have 2 outputs. should i run the gauge to one output or should i get one with a gauge port. I appreciate any input you guys have here

A basic regulator is just fine. I wouldn't go cheap but you don't need to spend 200 bucks either. I also would probably set it at 4.5-5psi starting out.

thats the exact regulator i was looking at. actually the $24 version thats powdered black lol. Now the main question is install with hose clamps of spend the extra $100 on an fittings and hose and plumb it in that way?

Haha, that's up to you. I actually bent up hard line except for a small section of rubber for engine movement. And my fuel pressure guage is in the engine compartment so it got hard line all the way to it.
