Found this idea on U-Tube. Got mine from a 200-2004 Impala. Pull down the folding rear seat, pull trunk mat cover aside and there it is in the center. 2005 doesn't have it! I haven't measured where to cut yet, but you get the idea.

I was thinking about just making something similar to this with a hinge and maybe a Dzus fastener to secure the lid.

I like to use GM Parts when possible. To me they look like Chevy would have put that part in. I looked at that type of lid until I ran into the U-Tube video.
