Hello everyone. 🙂

It is excellent site! From this forum I have learned a lot of helpful information.I just read and at last has decided to write.

When to me there were 12 years I for the first time has seen in automobile magazine the picture story from an exhibition muscle-cars in Finland. I at once have fallen in love in these cars, these prompt forms, greater motors, on comparisons with our car industry it was as though on other planet.

After a while and having saved up money has persuaded the senior brother (which passed last kilometers of a resource on rusty old Volga a former taxi) try to look that American, main that there was a RWD and engine V8.

And here in 2003 г casually was in sale 1984 Buick Regal Limited 305 sbc and in addition to it gave 1983 Pontiac Grand Prix LJ!!!We here have gone to look. After short survey have decided to buy! Despite of half of broken glasses on, the smoking engine, and a plenty of a rust in some places of a body. Pontiac was with the disassembled engine and all inside with fine specks of a rust, stay under the sky of 10 years without movement.

Later half a year have made glasses for Buick and have repaired fine lacks. The car on road really was exllent. Comfort and silence. Passers-by practically all turned around, the some people approached and asked that for the car. My brother ride for 3years about 40000 miles and the motor has died. It also has decided to marry and despite of my arrangements all the same has sold Buick. Now it the fan 4x4 mud driving. And buick has got to the fan American cars. It now completely restores it.

Poncho it has appeared much worse on a condition. All rusty from within, incomplete on interior and also with the killed motor, 3 from 8 pistons have been destroyed by a detonation, pistons and rings became single whole, likely at the USSR filled in instead of gasoline pure oil and very bad motor oil, lifters and lobes on a camshaft have been ground off the friend about the friend.

I have started to be engaged with pontiac still don't known what monetary expenses are coming. And in the summer 2003 I have entered the university also restoration have been suspended. In the winter 2004 studied all about G-body, engines, transmissions, what details for what are necessary, how to build the powerful engine. And one fine spring day I has come across the message at a forum about sale 1986 Monte Carlo LS for 800$!

The former owner can't to start engine because of broken rochester. I have issued the transaction. It was necessary to take away and deliver only it for 60 miles up to my house. I needed 2 hours, and I already went on parking. Has repaired the carburettor, has cleaned spark plugs, to check has seen that on the motor two have been mixed by places ignition wires. Here so it up to me went on 6 of 8 cylinders. When I was going to leave already to myself home former owner have suggested to buy it back, but I have refused. 🙂

After detailed survey I have understood that became the owner junk on wheels. On odometer there were about 90000 miles, probably it was the third or fourth circle. It was rusty through and beaten down to crack frame. But I don't to be upset, have tinted a body, have adjusted the motor, have eliminated leaks of oil from the motor and boxes and have started to go. Has spent 1.5 years has not died yet 200r4. The motor has started to eat oil of 2 litres on 60 miles.

During driving I have so grown fond my chevy that have solved don't look there is nothing to restore it up to an ideal condition. and to make very fast muscle-car.Some times were cases when cops stopped and instead of check of documents asked me to make smokey burnout.

Last 2 years there is a process of restoration and purchase of new spare parts. I wish to install SS front end,4" cowl indution hood.First searched for the block 350 for assembly of the motor, but has casually found 454 BigBlock with L29 Vortec Heads. Has bought a new 7561 Edelbrock Air-Gap intake + 650 cfm Holley ouble pumper. Has bought all new details for a suspension. Rear axle in good condition 2.29 with limited slip. New daytona 84 wheels with 295/50/15 cooper radials (rear), it is necessary to solve the problem with rebuild thm350 non lock-up, and to find SS nose.

At us here are most of all widespread vans, 80's-90's caprice and 3gen F-body. Some G-body Malibu. There is one 86SS and 84Regal. As at my Grand Prix see not one. During possession American cars has got acquainted with many adherents at us in city and also across all Russia. For 2000 km from me on the east the young girl with own hand restores 1972 Pontiac LeMans! My friend begin project 79 Malibu with vortec 454 from 96 suburban and 4 speed manual trans from 70' Camaro.

Another friend restores 1969 Mustang Boss and 1967 Impala coupe, and daily drives '83 Diesel Blazer with 37" Wheels. And my one more friend and the adherent 2 years ago has bought driven of Finland 1983 El Camino Concuesta! The Last winter we with it have build 350 smallblock with TFS Aluminum Heads,210/216 cam, edelbrock performer RPM intake,600 holley double pumper, headers and flowmasters. It has turned out very fast Camino, on 295/15 10 inch aluminium wheels.

I think in the near future I shall finish construction Monte and I shall undertake for GP. I already have a complete set T5 mixer from F-body with pedals. There is an idea to make 334 stroker with twin turbos + T5, main that money for all has sufficed. 🙂

I am sorry for possible mistakes in the text, insufficiently well I write in English, and places used the translator. Though at reading I understand practically all. 🙂

with the best regards.
Victor.

where in russia do you live?

Keep 'em running!

I've been to Moscow (through the airport once) and it's certainly different than what we are used to here.

My wife is from Bulgaria and we go there every year. I have to send one of my cars, I just hate to pay the taxes to get it into the country!

Good Luck with your stuff!!
