Hey guys,
the door jamb / seatbelt retractor of my 79 Malibu coupe is broken. It's fthat flimsy black plastic switch of those years' g-body coupes which are well prone to break....

Now I find replacement parts such as the one attached in the photo and I really wonder if this one is likely to work instead?!???! After all, it looks way different (though somewhat more reliable) and kinda smaller, doesn't it?!?!

Does anyone have an idea?!
Anyhow, I'd be glad if someone had this plastic stuff thing on stock and would offer it to me!

thanks, cheers
Stevie

The bottom one is for the dome light. Not quite sure if you are looking for a set like in the top picture but I have a few sets of used retractors.

Ah, that's why, funny... THX;-)
Yes, a set of two would be perfect just in case. So I'd gladly take those ones you show. No idea what's a fair price, 7 bucks +shipping (to Canada, i.e.)!?
Thx.

$7 is a little low for what I normally sell them for. With the shipping to Canada I would do $30 total for the pair.

Alright, I'm pondering over it, sounds ok yet.
BTW, would you maybe have by any chance that steering wheel/ hornpad trim in the middle (standarad GM steering wheel), photo attched ?!

Sorry, I don't have the trim. I saw some not too long ago but I don't remeber who had them. Possibly O. D. Showtime has them, he is also in Canada.

Re: G body/ Malibu coupe door jamb switch/ seatbelt retracto

I've got some extra retractors as well and I'm in Canada. Not trying to step on any toes, just trying to help.
Also a note for install, you need to remove the lower trim panel beside the back seat in order to get the new retractor in properly.
