What a PITA working on this car, when it comes to picking up the right tool. :x Seems that GM must have been confused as to what standard to use with their bolts and nuts. I have to have two sets of sockets, and two sets of wrenches, on hand for just about any job on it.

For instance, the steering box replacement I'm doing. The P/S lines seem to be attached to the box with some odd metric size, (none of my tool sets had the correct size} while the frame bolts and the pitman arm were SAE. The steering column attaching bolt was metric. sheesh. It's enough to drive you nuts. :?

I think I'll pour myself a drink... 🙂

Not so bad once u get used to it. Just the pressure of everything being converted to a Metric scale (which as an American, I prefer Metric, why bother remembering what is bigger, 9/16" or 1/2"?, Metrics r 10,11,12...mm, much simpler)

But GM loves 10mm,13mm,15mm,18mm, and 9/16". Seems like u can practically disassemble one with just those sizes.
