quick run down. i'm wanting to buy a 2 door g body fab up an aluminum nose and tail very similar to those used on the 91-94 lumina's in nascar. i'm assuming back in the day most teams just chopped the Monte bodies off and threw their hand fabbed "lumina" bodies on. just wondering if anyone has any suggestions in terms of whether or not i should tub and strengthen the original chassis or build a full tube one. also if anyone has any info on what they actually did to these bodies back then that would be great. i wanted to use the centre section of a Monte or regal and build out.

these are the coolest cars imo as they were post basically stock bodies but pre flat side panels and massive wedge noses. they still look like street cars; just sexy, bad *ss street cars. any and all info is greatly appreciated.

why would ya wanna make a bad *ss gbody look like a boring 90's fwd poop box? i can understand the ss choo-choo comversion, but lumina? lumina, performance, and sexy, should never be in the same sentence.

i didn't plan on chopping a street lumina body and dropping it on, the "lumina's" raced in nascar actually look more like a Monte Carlo from the A-pillar back.
