I currently have the sweep style speedometer gauge pod/cluster. I noticed for a while that my generator light doesn't come on when I turn the key. Oddly enough, the generator does seem to charge the battery at just over 14 volts.
I just wanted to find out what type of bulb does the sweep style set-up use. I've had the round gauge clusters apart, but never the sweep style. Is it a replaceable bulb much like the round gauge later cluster, or is it integral with the circuit board/ strip?

Also, I know it's been discussed before. But what ohm reading am I looking for on the brown "excite" wire? ..and what ohm setting should I set my multi-meter to? I know you know the answer to this question, Steve...

Thank you!

same bulbs as rallye gauge cluster bulbs, i think they are 194 if i remember right.

Just the answer I was looking for. The round gauge clusters use the 194 type bulbs. I was just wondering if the sweep style also used the 194 type bulbs.
I suppose the Chevy cluster would be similar to an Oldsmobile cluster functionally.

Thanks for your input.
