hey guys, i aint been on the forums in a while but ive been messing with the wagon recently so i thought id show some progress. she hasnt been driven hardly at all in about 2 years. so i dropped a battery in it and the trusty old b*tch fired right up. gonna give it the old rat rod look, partially because flat black is cheap as hell. 😀

first i painted my old ralleys red....

Hey Lonnie,
Long time no see. Glad to see you're still into it. Post some pics of your progress. Your wagon is looking much like mine these days. How is it as far as rust is concerned?

Oh CRAP I'm having a flashback seeing this pic! My fingers are spontaneously bleeding.

Cool car! what color is it going to be?

gonna be cheap *ss flat black. its my very first paint job so im not spending big money on paint just to screw it up. no big rust issues, got a little surface rust and just one real rust hole. it was much smaller when i parked the car. 🙁 but its in the bottom of the door jam so it wont have to be a pretty fix. drivers door had been reskinned at one time and they did a horrible job at it. but luckily i picked up a pretty clean replacement for $20!!!

rust hole.....

Ah hell, flat black ain't paint, its called primer 8) u can just use a brush for that chit.

Just f'n with ya. I've seen a couple satin black cars that look killer

don't forget the pics

I've seen Rustoleum semi-flat black paint jobs, and they looked pretty cool. The paint is supposed to be very durable.

done some more sanding today, started fixing the dent in my new drivers door, and painted the door jambs....
