Hi. I have an M4M quadrajet. I'd like to convert it to a manual choke. What is the recommended way of hooking this up/ I have a generic manual choke cable. What I'm having trouble with is the end link, where it connects to the choke itself. Does anyone have any recommendations of how to hook this up?

I am not interested in an electric choke.

I believe you just twist the end or use a generic cable tie

Early Q-jets had a divorced choke and could be hooked up easily by just replacing the choke rod with the cable. Later models with the integral choke whether hot air or electric are a different story. You are going to have to get creative. Maybe remove the housing and use the "finger" that the choke coil connects to. A hot air housing has a rear facing opening that the cable could be fed through.
