I bought some nice ported C heads and a .30 over 455 for $250 didnt really have the extra cash to spend since my daily driver is in the shop but I couldnt pass the deal up. The only thing they said was it dosnt have transmission mounts on the block cause he used a chevy 400 with an adapter plate. Can a bop 400 still be used with it? The block has block offs so the oil stays in the bottom and it has arp main bolts. Now i just cant wait to put these heads on my motor I have now and see how much of a difference it makes from the ported j heads i have on there now. He said the heads also have comp cam magnum roller rockers and guide plate and are good to 6500rpm. Now I can get a bigger cam and see what this bad boy can do.

Are the oil restricters hammered in or threaded in? Same head set up i have. Awesome deal on it though, i wouldn't have pass that up either i think i paid almost the same for mine too.

they arent those restrictors there are 2 bolts under the timing cover that he pointed at and said they had block offs so i wasnt for sure what he was talking about.

I wish i could answer that for you. But I've only heard or people restricting the crank journals or *i think* drill out the drain back holes in the heads. Unless he's talking about one of the two cam bolts that is drilled out?

regardless though you got a deal. I re-read you first post and $250 for both is too sweet. I paid that for my c heads with comp cam magnum roller rocker kit a few yrs ago.

i guess i will find out when I start building another engine and have the block cleaned up and all that fun stuff. Id like to send it to one of the performance olds companys and have them set my block up and have it ready to be built pice by piece as i get the money for things.
