Friday afternoon I left on a 3 day adventure, by myself, to go to my parents house and trailer my Cutlass to my new home. The trip was riddled with problems of all sorts (like losing the keys to the Cutlass), and was downright scary at times with the 35mph crosswinds in my big SUV.
Got back home Sunday morning, unloaded the car, dropped off the Uhaul trailer, and went to sleep after being awake for 30 hours.
Slept till almost noon on Monday.....Got up, showered, ate lunch, and was about to start working on cleaning up the Cutlass (clean up all the damage I caused, breaking into it)....
Then the wife's water broke. After several calls to the clinic, we packed up and headed to the hospital, and many hours later, we had a baby girl at 1:30pm on January 1st.
First baby born on Fort Polk in 2013. So we got a bunch of "prizes" from various organizations. That was pretty cool of them and generous, some of the gifts were really nice. We especially greatly appreciated them, considering we pretty much have nothing in our house, due to us recently moving here from Germany.
The baby came almost 2 weeks early, so this was a complete surprise. Glad its all over. My stress levels are starting to get back ON the charts again, after the past few months of crap, on top of crap, on top of crap.
And I'm off work till the 14th, thanks to paternity leave. Def loving that 8)
We got a beautiful 8lb 2oz, healthy girl. Our 4th kid, and 3rd girl.
