Check the headers, they can make a tic like sound.

Also, on my V-6 I had a fuel pump that made a tic noise. I replaced it and the noise was gone. I was able to tell it was the fuel pump because of proximity of the sound AND the pumps outlet house would move slightly to the tic sound. When I pulled the fuel pump, the pump arm has an extension piece of metal riveted on it to mate up to the cam (GM probably made a general pump that fit other applications and used this riveted metal to mate specific applications like the V-6.). This was slightly loose and was making a Tic sound. The new pump (AC-Delco) did not have the riveted piece on it and works perfectly.
