I have a front clip off of a 1978 Grand Am. Did Grand Am's ( or Lemans ) come with plastic front wheel wells ( 1978-80 ) ?

1980 Grand Am and 80 on up for Lemans and Grand Lemans is what I've found to have plastic inner wheel wells.

My 1980 El Camino has the plastic wheel wells, so I thought maybe the 1980 Grand Am and Lemans would be that way too. I'll have to keep my eyes open for a pair. You wouldn't happen to know the weight difference between the steel and plastic wells would you? I'm just curious.
I've been to your site a few times to check it out. The concept El Camino with the Grand Am front clip has a nice and clean look to me. I have a 1978 G. A. front clip ( doors forward ), another just the nose and hood, and misc. odds & ends. Seriously considering doing the the idea from the concept car.

Are you considering putting the GA clip on your El Camino, or reworking another car? I would love to put a GA nose on my wagon. I guess I've expressed that on occasion.
