I have in my possession a Grand National hood. I am concentrating on reproducing the hood in steel.

Who would replace their normal regal hood with a GN if it were available.

I would definitely be interested in a GN hood for my Cutlass.

Why bother GN hoods are readily available in fiberglass and the steel hoods are not that scarce. Why go through hours of work when you dont need to? But i would like to see what you make up post a pic.

Well this is the reason why we are asking around, maybe a good idea, maybe not. I was not aware that the GN hoods were that plentiful.

They are around you just have to look. Hey give it a shot make some anything that is done right will sell. I never knock anyone who want to work and make $$$. Again wasnt knocking you good luck with your adventure i would like to see the finished product.

what is rare are the 78-79 turbo hoods. make me one and you have a winner

I plan on using a t.type/GN hood on my 84 Regal…I was keeping an eye open for a good condition used one for a while…most of them I saw for sale locally were $500+…I ended up snagging one this spring in good shape for $80 off Omaha Craigslist…it had been repainted metallic purple bc/cc, with yellow paint under that…To answer your ?, I wanted one for the right price, I probably woulda paid up to $200 as I got closer to painting the car…

In my experience they haven't been very easy to find. Not impossible but pretty hard. Then if you get lucky and find one it's usually pretty expensive. I'm interested if the price is right.

Because I do not know the Buick as well as Cutlass, will the hood interchange to a cutlass?
