Ok guys change of plans. I have a fresh buick 455 that I was planning putting in my 85 Buick Regal but I just got a deal on a 87 GN that is totaled beyond repair but it still runs great. I have the whole complete running GN. Where should I begin to swap this in my Regal. I'm doing interior and everything but I want to get it turn key in the regal first. I would appreciate anyones help.

Park 'em side by side and grab a wrench! I did this with a 4 cyl Mustang and a 5.0 Mustang a couple years ago. Make sure to swap rear ends if the GN has the 8.5

You need to install under dash harness computer fuel tank with pump. Underhood wireing pretty much everything needs to swap over. Good luck with swap. But in my opinion they are a headache stick with the 455 it will save you alot of headaches and $$$$$$$$$ trust me.

I've always been a fan of the black/grey GN interiors...badass if you ask me..ANyways, take your regal and strip EVERYTHING out....the do the same with the GN and put everything back in the regal from the GN the same way...X2 on the rear end and gas tank..Good luck. Post some pics of the progress!! 8)

i just did the swap. If you have any questions pm me. 1st the gn has subtle exterior diffs. The front end, grille, bumper splitters, intercooler scoop, black out bezels, if your lucky aluminum bumper supports, obviously the hood, 1/4 windows & rear window trim (if the regal is vinyl roof) floor shifter, fuel lines, gn rear, most likely door panels/ door peakers, ecm harness & ill add more things as i remember. Not a hard swap but very time consuming

You will need the fuel tank, fuel lines, computer and all the wiring. The dash and associated wiring. As well as the previously mentioned bits. A bunch of the under hood relays and sensors. I hope most weren't damaged in the collision.

The swap is now complete. I have the car turn key. Thanks for all the help. I should have it in the paint booth by next week.
