I found an '82 Grand Prix locally that has been rolled ( roof and fender damage ) but has a nice interior from what they guy says. Bucket seats, console, etc...

Many of these parts, I need for my Cutlass, will the parts interchange? Will the Grand Prix center console work with my Cutlass dash?

I need to know ASAP because I will be going to look at the car tomorrow afternoon.

Thanks 8)

Anyone know? I would really like to find out for sure if they interchange before I look at it tomorrow.

the console should bolt right up to the floor no prob. should fit nicely too because the grand prix console was shaped to contour the radio/ heater controls box thing in the center of your dash.( other g bodies was an epic fail in short, it just sat there lol)

Thanks, that's what I needed to know 8)

If your car has the split-bench seat now, the buckets will bolt right in.

There will not be any mounting points for the console, so you'll have to come up with a way to mount it yourself.

Thanks for the correction Blake, There are no mounting points for the console so you would have to improvise like i did for my Z-Gate floor shifter just peel back the carpet plot mounting points with a marker, and get under the car and make sure no bolts are gonna hit anything under the car like transmission or shifter cables and such. i had a cheapo plastic cup holder i screwed in with drywall screws and still no issues with hitting any thing. REMEMBER MEASURE TWICE DRILL ONCE

I will be going to check this car out this afternoon.

Here is another random question... Will the doors on this '82 Grand Prix fit right on a '85 Cutlass? A guy that I work with has an '85 Cutlass and the bottom of his doors are rotted out.

Curious, would a GP/bonne dash swap into a cutlass? I do fancy the look of it. Just got a Bonne for the wifey, and I wish the cutlass had sotin that good lookin. And I have no issues driving a mutt, as long as it all fits and looks good.

Went and looked at the car, tan interior in good shape. Needs cleaned up, but not bad at all.

Picked up the front bucket seats, center console, complete rear seat, all seatbelts, wiper arms, and wiper motor / transmission assembly for $325. I think it is a good deal as I have seen consoles go for 100 and bucket seats in much worse condition then these for $200 + 8)

I now want to find a place around here that can dye fabric for me....
