Greetings!

I just bought my first car, a 1981 Buick LeSabre 2 door with a 307 Olds from South Phoenix a month ago and it's a bit of a fixer upper but it works and I have every intention to restore it slowly but surely. I am the third owner of this car. I just started visiting this website about 2 days ago and decided to register. I was informed of this website by a friend and he said this is the place to go for advise. When I bought the car it had a terrible idle thanks to a Q-Jet, which I love the concept of the Q-Jet but it needs to be rebuilt and I don't know much about their internals so I put a Holley 4150 600cfm 4bbl with vacuum secondaries since I know Holleys a lot better and this one was sitting around. It adds a decent performance boost and makes sh*t work until I can learn more about Q-Jets. I did a tune-up. Replaced the oil/filter, spark plugs, wires, dist. cap, rotor. I also changed the transmission fluid, seal (was leaking) and filter. Right now as seen in my avatar my car is still down for maintenance as I am replacing the power steering pump/reservoir. My cooling system is somewhat aftermarket, the previous owner told me it has a 3 core radiator with a racing fan which I'm trying to identify.

I hope that was a good introduction.

Welcome! People here are awesome.. Tempe, AZ here.

Whoa, I forgot about this website for a long time. That's ok, my car is about finished after 3 years of redoing practically EVERYTHING! I don't know if anyone can still see this topic but uh... I've done everything short of lifting the body off the frame, replacing the rear axle and painting it. (dropping it off at paint shop in a few hours) I'M BAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!

Will post before and after photos in new topic hopefully next week.

Thank you all for the warm return welcoming. Nothing new to report at this moment. Will post updates... uh... whenever I get updates.
