i was driving my car today when i heard a grinding noise coming from the drivers side rear wheel. it sounded almost like the gears in the rear end were skipping or something. i pulled the axles out and they have a sever wear mark all the way around. you could also feel the car vibrating when you hear the noise. wondering if it time for new axles and bearings or something. i have a 11983 cutlass supreme with a 7.5in 10 bolt limited slip. any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks all.

Yeah, your gonna want to get at least one axle, bearings and seals. Be sure to swab out the axle tubes so no metal can get to the diff. Not a bad repair, you can pull it off on a Saturday afternoon and still have time to drink a cold beer. 😀
