how do u install a Oil Pressure Gauge and a Water Temperature Gauge on a 1980 cutlass with a chevy 350 motor??

easiest way is to go with electronic sending unit style gauges

start by looking for gauges that you like and then the manufactuer will recomend a sending unit that goes along with the gauges. buy the sending units and the gauges.

install the sending units then run the wire for each through the firewall

then you will need to run a 12v and ground for the gauge itself and most likely a 12v for the lights in it.

really simple and well worth the investment expecially when it comes to oil pressure and engine temp

this is what i did

Re: Gauges/Tach

ok where did u get the guage holder from?

i got mine from gbodyparts.com but you said your car is an 80 so i have no idea if you can find a custom fit one like mine to fit with yours, im not sure if the a pillars are the same, they could be?

Don't know how interested you would be but I have a factory full gauge pack for an 80 Cutlass I'd be willing to part with.

Yeah give me a couple hrs. I've gotta go up to my building and dig it out.
