I have a HB on a 327 that has nubs on it like the one in the top pic posted. These nubs forced me to shim the water pump pulley and now I need to shim everything else to line up. Does anybody know if it is safe to grind off these "nubs" or must I buy a new HB to get a safe flat faced HB. Thanks.
