I got my HAYDEN 3652 Fan Controller, started to install it, it's all but hooked up just the green wire.how do i hook it up ? Is anybody else using the kit ? it's not working I NEED HELP PM ME

I have not used that kit but if everything is hooked up except one wire then I would guess that the wire goes to the fan override. Its a function you wire for the fans to turn on no matter what the temperature is. Things like running an A/C compressor and such.

a/c is gone an yea it's saying something about that but hooking to a toggle switch, but hell that's what i am trying to do away with is the toggle switch When i stick it to power the fans turn on right away without the prob being warm an it's not turning off

Like ITh4n4tosI said, it should be for ac or override. If the temp probe goes bad, and the green wire isn't hooked up to a toggle switch to turn on, then the car will overheat. Better safe then sorry.

It's a brand new kit just got it,but yea i know that don't really mean nothing,
So were do i hook that green wire to ? Toggle switch ?
Doing that would just be like putting the green wire to a hot wire which i was doing,it runs if i do that, DOESN'T SHUT OFF

No more a/c stuff i ripped all that out an put heater only,

well i took a heat gun an heated the prob up an the FANS COME ON, so i guess i'll just leave that wire off,but i did notice they only ran about 40 seconds an shut off.

How long is this thing supposed to leave the fans on for ?

depending on how you have it hooked up, it will run until the temp drops to the shut-off point, you can run a relay to the power wire and have it shut of when you shut the car off.

By reading the instructions at http://www.haydenauto.com/Upload/Hayden ... ollers.pdf, the factory preset ON temp is 185 and the OFF is 165. The toggle switch would have 12v on one terminal and the green wire on the other terminal. This would allow you to manually turn the fans on in the case of a probe malfunction.
