swapping a 350 for a 454 in my 79 Malibu .I have a set of flowtech 31130FLT was wondering have anyone used these before

Nope , I would always use Hooker Super Comps and now have Lemon's Headers the problem I have with using A and B-body headers besides not being a direct fit is they usually hang down more giving less ground clearance and with a 1.75" diameter tube and 3" collector you are limiting yourself to how much engine you can have, they make SBC headers that size.

As said above the smaller diameter primary tube may somewhat limit you.
Depends on what you are building.
If its going to be a low rpm torque monster 454 the Flowtech you mention may be perfect.
If its going to be a big inch high rpm screamer bigger tube headers may be more appropriate.
I use the 2 inch # 2455 Hooker Competition "A" Body headers and they needed work to fit with the standard transmission Z bar and the AFR heads with raised exhaust ports.
But they don't seem to hang all that low;

Budget will also play a factor in header selection.
You already have a set,ones like mine are a cheaper alternative to the Hooker swap or Lemon s headers.
If money isn't an issue by all means buy the Lemons,they are reported to be the very best available.
