i just ordered Hedman Long Tube Headers p/n-58076
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HED-58076/

Does anyone kno with longtubes on an Olds' motor in a Gbody
if there is any clearence issues,, i.e.- proportiong valve block, shifter linkedge or anything elese?
I already have the gforce crossmember installed.

I had them bolted up in my Cutlass and they fit pretty good. I did not have the linkage that goes from the column to the shifter installed, but I have heard that fits with no problem.

Yes, I have those (not ceramic coated though) on my car. Fit was perfect.

Didnt even have to use a bfh to massage them. Cleared the stock starter oil pan and everything. I also have a gforce (iceman copy) crossmember and worked great.

i have them on mine. the issue i have is that i cannot shift into 2 or 1, the linkage hits the collector flange. i plan on buying better headers in the future

IIRC i had a similar problem with my flowtechs. i think all i had to do was move the nut/bolt (that holds the steering column linkage to the trans) to the other side. theres enough slop in the linkage to accomodate this.

The elite coated are a better header with the 3/8" flange and 14 guage tubing. I found it easy to warp the thin flanges and have leaks..
