header gaskets

I believe they are ultra seals which are ok, mine came with them anyways. You can coat your gaskets with hi temp RTV, both sides and collectors too. Just make sure you tighten the bolts evenly, starting at the middle ports. You can leave the top center bolt out or loose, tends to cause leaks if tightened.Be careful of your dipstick, I always seem to break dipsticks when headers are involved.

if it was me I would get a set of copper gaskets

The best header gaskets i have found over the years is to take two sets of stock gaskets and permatex the two fiber sides togother so the steel faces out on both sides, do it right and you will never have to replace gaskets again unless you take them apart.

im running a set of embosed copper gaskets, and they work great.
plus if your headers come loose, they wont blow out. You just retourqe them and away you go.
They also have a lot more give for an uneven surface.
