Does anyone know of a header paint that will actually last and stay looking halfway decent? My Super Comps look like rust pipes and wont last too long like this.

I used to use the expensive VHT paint for a while, but now use the ordinary Grill paint. You will have to touch them up occasionally. I haven't run accross anything that doesn't need to be touched up. ~ Jon

would getting them powder coated be expensive?

I don't know if Powder coating would last. It takes about 400F to it to cure, true, but 1600F I think would burn it.
What I use is this http://www.hirschauto.com/prodinfo.asp?number=EMPT-PINT and I'll SWEAR by it to not chip, burn, or rust through. It comes in Black, Steel, Aluminum, and cast iron colors.
