Akron, Oh.
Yo! I was wondering g if anyone has done a SBC swap into a regal, and if so what headers did y'all use? I got a 383 going into an 84 and don't know what headers would be best. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

i have a SBC in my 78 regal, i guess technically it came with one 🙂 but I"m using schoenfeld headers i had to dimple a couple tubes but other than that they went in great

Did you feel a difference from the stock or other headers? I bought a set of flowtech full length headers but apparently they don't fit. So I'm gonna take them back for another set. Thanks for input M.Bailey.

I havent really driven it since I put them on. I changed from a set of headmans with an 1 5/8" primary. my schoenfelds are 1 3/4 primary. its sounds a whole bunch better now and it actually rpms a little better now. the headmans were killin above like 5500rpm. they are reasonably priced to. I paid under $200 for mine. i have a video with them on and running i will try and put it up when i get home from work tonight

I WILL be looking into those schoenfelds. They look nice for the price. 2 questions, what thickness is the flange? And did you guys feel any power loss on the low end with the 1 3/4 primary tubes? Thanx.

If I were you I would go with the Flowtech Afterburner headers........These will bolt right into your car with no issues and the price is great also. I have them inm y car and love 'em....http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BIG-49100FLT/

I havent drivin the car or raced it since I put the schoenfelds on. I wont be able to tell if I lost or gained anything because I plan I changing engine between now and then. if i had to guess I wuold say I gained some. The headmans were smaller than the exhaust port so I think it was killing it even down low. and the flanges are 3/8" maybe a little more

Keep in mind, I don't think the schenfields will work with the heat/ac box. And, my opinion, you might be better off with the 1 5/8 tubes with anything 450hp or less.

oh i totally forgot you are a genious. no the schoenfelds do not work with an a/c heater box. i just have the heater box (no a/c) out of a monte carlo and i would also agree with the tubing size
