Headers for my 1979 Grand lemans!!

Do they fit ?? When I bought them. It says for SBC, but now, some people told mw that cna not fit there!!!! Is their a way to make it fit ???

nope those wont fit, those headers are meant for an old hot rod or somthing similar like a t-bucket. You need different ones, check summit or jegs, you can get ones specifically for a g-body with a small block from $100 and up

Yeah, you need headers with a rear exit. Those will dump right into the front suspension crossmember.

Just go to Summit Racing's web site and look up headers for a 305 Monte Carlo. They will have their exit by the firewall. Due to minor chassis differences, what looks like it may fit may not fit. This is why you should always try to buy headers that are designed to fit your chassis and mount combination. Assuming stock mounts, it should be easy to order a set for your car.

those probably wont fit either, the angle from the first tube to the collector looks to steep. Plus those ebay headers are probably cheaply made Chinease ones. I would go with the full length ones over shorty ones, easier to connect to rest of the exhaust. All 78-88 monte, regal, malibu grand lemans with a small block chevy will all use the same headers. These are all sister cars with idential suspension and frame workings.

Remember when you put true dual exhaust headers on the car you will have to put in a complete dual exhaust system and cut you transmission crossmember or buy a new one.

I agree about E Bay headers. I would not use them because they are usually made poorly and will crack. Plus, chrome headers will blue, then rust within 6 months. If you want shiny headers, get ceramic coated ones. I personally like shorties better than long tubes as they go in easier, and have better ground clearance.
