Edelbrock TES headers here. It allowed me up upgrade my exhaust 1 section at a time. ( headers to cat in the fall, then a cat-back in the spring ) with no crossmember work required. If you have the $$ there are quite a few systems that will work but most will require some easy crossmember work if you plan to run dual exhaust.
I did the Jegs kit for my 83 Grand Prix last year. Dynomax headers and 2 1/2" all the way back. I had to do the crossmember too. The toughest part was getting the side with the master cylinder through. You've gotta have the car really high off the ground - small 3 ton jack stand won't do it. I had 6 inches of wood underneath the stands. Not safe. Now I've got the bigger stands. If you could get the header in there as you're replacing the motor mount (if you're gonna do that) that would probably be best. I risked busting the brake line as I shoved it through. If you get a crossmember leave all that loose until you get it roughed in because clearances are pretty tight. On one side I used the short collector. on the other a little longer. It came with two. Good luck.
