Headers

I have tried 2 sets of Flowtech 31152 headers on my 85 salon with olds 350 & 350 trans. The left side is into the trans pan and shift linkage & the right is hitting the frame by the motor mount, it is also pointing towards the right rear tire. any ideas?????????????

Try a set of Hedman's, a few have had issues with Flowtech fitting.

I have hedmans with my olds 350 & th350. No issues at all they fit great. The ball and socket collectors are nice too.

Can't tll you what is happening on the passenger side but i do know the problem on the driver side. This year car only came with the 200 trans. When you changed to the 350 the linkage will connect and work but it connects lower on this trans than the 200 so it hits the long tube pipe. I had to switch to mid lenght headers to avoid this, so if you keep trying long tube headers this may continue to be a problem.

I had both a 200 & th350 with long tube hedmans. I have stock shifter linkage to the column, and a floor shift. They clear just fine.

Sounds like you have a set of BBO headers on a SBO. Thats the difference in how they fit. Its worth checking out. IMO Good Luck either way.
