Removed heater, do I need to run a short hose from waterpump to intake or can i just plug the holes?

I am pretty sure you can do either. It is whatever is easier for you.

You might want to look into a waterpump that does not have heater hose outputs OR>>>>>>>>>>>> maybe an electric pump to free up HP!!!
 
i plugged when i had mine unhooked.
 
Hmm, IDK I've always just run a a bypass hose. Didn't realize they could be blocked.
 
You can unscrew the heater hose nipple from the water pump and put in a plug (same for the intake, if you remove the valve). Won't hurt a thing. When you switch the heat off, it closes the water valve--so no water flow through the core.

oh yeah,

it really helps clean out the engine bay.
 
Cool, I'm used to older cars where I used to plum a bypass in the engine compartment to try to keep the interior a bit cooler.
