I have an 87 Grand Prix with a 5L 305 v8, I found these..

Im wondering if the engine will need to be lifted out to install them. Im not installing them if it does need to be.

It will cost me $120 to remove all of tje studs out of my current manifolds flanges.

I wanna get a pair of decent headers and run straight pipes and buy another flowmaster.

Add this topic to the list of unanswered questions for me.

thanks guys.

I have no clue on those. mine installed from the bottom with the car on stands.....my inner fenders and ac were out at the time.

I don't know if this would work for you, but I found it much easier to unbolt the engine mounts and jack up the engine 2 or 3 inches. They just slid in through the top when I did that. This was on an Olds engine, so I don't know if it will work with yours.

You do not have to move the engine. If I remember correctly the driver side installs from under the car and the pass from above.

don't know about the hedmans, but the dynomax units I got required me to lift the motor. now have a snowball effect on this upgrade!
